---- "Doctors" Gone Wild!... Amateur Brain Surgeon Nabbed ----

CAIRO - Egyptian police have arrested a man who performed
brain surgery on a number of people even though he had only
a primary school education, court sources said Wednesday. The
40-year-old saw around 200 patients a week in the town of
Fayoum near Cairo. You'd think his pricing would've scared
patients away... his charge a mere 22 Egyptian pounds ($4.74)
per patient. The fate of his victims was not immediately known.

But doesn't it make you wonder just who that person with the white lab coat is that's treating you? How much to any of us really know about the doctors we go to for treatment. Cringes, guess we'll never know.

Yes, it is scary.

There's another reason to head toward alternative/natural medicine unless it's something serious, then you do tons and tons of research to not end up with a brain surgeon like that guy! *shudders*

I don't think the alternative/natural healers are immune to quacks. In fact, there is no regulatory agency like the AMA for them.

But your point about research is well taken.

well I do actually have a condition involving the brain called Hydrocehpalus and I hope to hel my doctors know what they are doing! I've had 17 surgeries involving my brain and I am fortunate that the doctors have been intelligent enough to know what they are doing.

I can understand the fear and distrust over the medical profession ..after years of fighting we are only now getting somewhere as regards my partner's ill health. That scenario is frightening to say the least, you can bet on his patient's being comatose.
